The Tattletale [School Life]

[A hopelessly rustic, devoted-dog male lead x a dazzling, spoiled young lady born with a talent for training dogs]

[Boarding school story, imperfect female lead]

Yu Xiaoran comes from a prominent family and has exquisite, striking looks. Though she's spoiled and loves to have fun, she never lacks for high-quality companions.

Compared to the dazzling, flamboyant Miss Yu, Xie Che speaks with an accent, has calloused hands, wears shoes with holes, and clothes washed so often they've faded. He looks especially simple and easy to bully. His only real advantage is his academic record.

These two, who should have lived in separate worlds, cross paths thanks to Yu's mother's kindness.

The first time Yu Xiaoran sees Xie Che, who's come to board at her house, she can't help but frown in disdain. "Tsk, so tacky."

Xie Che's ears turn bright red. He lowers his head awkwardly, afraid to keep looking.

His only thought is that his little sister is really pretty, and her voice is lovely, too.

Seeing this, Yu Xiaoran finds him even more irritating.

She silently adds to her assessment of Xie Che: timid and awkward, not fit to be seen in public.

Only after they enter the same high school does Yu Xiaoran realize that Xie Che is actually outrageously bold!

With Xie Che around, she has an annoying tattletale trailing behind her. Her family finds out about every bad thing she does, and even the love letters in her desk get cleaned out completely.

What's even more infuriating is that her parents can't praise Xie Che enough for all this.

At the time, Yu Xiaoran has had enough. Without wondering why Xie Che does it, she declares war on him unilaterally.

But Xie Che takes everything lying down, so bullying him brings her no satisfaction at all.

After the college entrance exams, Xie Che spends all his savings on a gift Yu Xiaoran likes and works up the courage to confess.

On that very same day, Yu Xiaoran boards a flight abroad.

Five years later, the Yu family goes bankrupt, and Yu Xiaoran returns home in a sorry state.

On the night she returns, an unusually heavy rain falls at the airport.

Drenched from head to toe, Yu Xiaoran waits in the pickup area for a taxi to fill up with other passengers.

Before her ride is confirmed, a luxury car pulls up.

The car door opens. A tall man in expensive casual clothes walks over to Yu Xiaoran under an umbrella. His rugged face is tense, and he speaks standard Mandarin. "Let's go home."

The boy who used to be hopelessly rustic has transformed into a hotshot rising star in business, with not a trace of his old awkwardness left.
