When Mu Huaixu was six, his biological parents abandoned him by the roadside. He curled up into a tiny ball, crouching alone and helpless, his head bowed as if lost in thought. Suddenly, he noticed a shadow fall over him. He peeked up through red, tear-swollen eyes, and the two people saw him. They chuckled softly and asked, "Why is this child all alone? Where are your parents?"
"M-my parents don't want me anymore..." Mu Huaixu whispered through his tears. The two were taken aback. After a long pause, they said, "Oh, I see. It's too cold out here. Would you like to come home with Auntie and Uncle for now?" Mu Huaixu looked down at his thin clothes and nodded. He wiped his cheeks hard with his hands, stood up, and walked with them. He went to the woman, cautiously reached out to take hold of the hem of her clothes, and clutched it tightly. Once he got home, he met the person who would stay by his side and love him for his whole life: Zhu He.
