Milky-white river water, tombstones among lush green hills, dead jasmine, and a fish that couldn't be kept.

Yan Chaobai, twelve years later, I finally buried the jasmine in the river and watched with my own eyes as she became a pure white fish.

*Something of a stream of consciousness, told from Jiang Ling's perspective, with most of the story focused on him

*Not a story about healing each other. They spend more than ten years caught up in each other, and neither is particularly brave.
