A food-channel creator transmigrates into the body of a deaf-mute farm girl, whom her in-laws bought for two taels of silver. Disliked by her parents-in-law and tormented by her sisters-in-law, the girl was slandered and, overcome with shame and anger, took her own life.
When the creator wakes up again, she's become this unfortunate girl. The first thing she hears upon opening her eyes is the family arguing over splitting up the household.
The good news: She's no longer deaf or mute, she's strong as an ox, and she's full of energy for telling everyone off.
The bad news: After the family splits up, she's stuck in a rundown ancestral home in a poor village. All that's left to her are two thatched huts, a few acres of poor farmland, and a cheap, disabled husband with a foul temper who gets around with difficulty and acts like a mad dog.
Luo Zhen'er: What kind of disastrous start is this?!
Luckily, she's bound to a Spirit Spring Farming System. Complete quests to earn rewards and make money. She rolls up her sleeves and gets to work on the fields:
She plants fruits, vegetables, forage, medicinal herbs, tea, and fiber crops; raises fish and bees; and combines ingredients to create different recipes.
Spicy mixed vegetables, fruit bowls, and skewered hot pot;
Meat-stuffed flatbreads, hand-torn chicken, and chilled locust leaf noodles;
Pork floss cakes, snowflake pastries, and butter-grilled rice cakes;
Fresh milk tea, frozen milk custard, and brown sugar pearl milk tea...
She starts with a street stall, brews fine liquor from grain, and opens restaurants in town. Before long, everyone is stuffing Luo Zhen'er's pockets with silver, all for a taste of her exquisite food!
Later, she gets rid of her awful, troublesome relatives. With farmland in the countryside and a house in town, she finally achieves wealth and prosperity, reaches a comfortable standard of living, and builds a flourishing life for herself.
And the gloomy, hot-tempered, cold-faced man at home somehow grows gentle and warm, eventually cherishing her in the palm of his hand.
Luo Zhen'er: "I still liked you better when you were all arrogant and untamed."
Her obedient young husband, now a loyal puppy: "I was wrong. From now on, I'll do whatever my wife says!"
