Lin Qiuxue runs away from home and is "wandering" along the road when the top student in her grade takes her in.

After moving into her home, she copies her homework, plays games with her, and admires the beauty of the top student in her grade. (Gu Qianling: Did I say you could stare?)

How could she get so lucky?

Heh... isn't that just wonderful?

A few days later, Lin Qiuxue sees the top student in her grade shine at a school performance. She goes shopping for clothes and skirts every week, and she's also a bona fide internet addict...

How is this anything like the top student I imagined, who always ranks in the top five?!

A few days before the monthly exams, the top student spends three days gaming with her. Studying for the exams? Not a chance!

Lin Qiuxue thinks that since she's been gaming with her every night and hasn't seen her study at all, there's no way she'll keep coming in first this time, right?

When the results come out, the top student is still several points ahead of the second-ranked student. Lin Qiuxue stares at the exam paper on which she scored over ten points below her usual monthly-exam result because she didn't study, lost in deep thought...

Gu Qianling just blinks and pouts innocently at her. "So it's my fault you didn't stay up late studying, is it?"

Fresh out of college, Su Manyue is talked into visiting the Eternal Space-Time Apartment by her best friend, Qin Xian. Here, you can stay for years, but as soon as you leave the apartment, the time outside will be exactly as it was when you left.

Su Manyue: So that's what "eternal space-time" means... How boring.

System: Every night, you have to go upstairs and enter an instance game. You might actually die in there.

Su Manyue: ...If space and time are eternal here, where does night come from?

System: You can gain abilities if you clear the game!

Later, in a high-difficulty instance, Su Manyue meets someone who will save her at any cost. She thinks it's love at first sight, unaware that this is a reunion after a long separation, and that it was all part of a long-laid plan.
