Heath has had a special ability since childhood: everything he says will eventually come true. Because he is naturally pessimistic, whenever he says something about the future, his mother gently covers his mouth.
His parents' political rival had one last debate with them, using hatred and flames. Leaving everyone behind, Heath ran on and on, trembling with shock.
Here was a forest like a paradise, a place Heath couldn't remember ever seeing on his way to school. He thought that, in the midst of unbearable pain, he'd drifted into a weightless dream, one that showed him sights he'd never seen before.
Then let me keep dreaming, until I'm forced to wake and face the cruel reality.
But why does it hurt in a dream?
He still fainted.
When he woke again, he saw a pair of luminous eyes gazing deep into his own through a hazy halo of light. Even the light couldn't blur them.
"I'm Sender. Starting today, I'll be your doctor."
I've been alive this long and had plenty of illnesses, but this is my first time as a specially monitored patient.
Sender always smiles and says, "You're not sick. You just need a little comfort." The sizzling sounds from the kitchen blend with her voice. The aroma drifts into his nostrils on the breeze through the house, warm and soothing.
Dr. Sender has a healing ability. She sees it as a comfort Heaven granted her after her parents passed away, but for some reason, whenever Sender touches Heath, his wounds heal faster.
"I don't know why it only works when we're touching closely... But if you want to get better, next time you talk to me, stand a little closer!"
When Sender says things like that, there's no seduction in her words, only light.
