Everyone in class knew Song Qiuchen was practically invisible and had the social skills of an extreme introvert.
Then one day, the province's top student transferred to their school. He casually slung an arm over Song Qiuchen's shoulder and, like an old buddy, asked him to show the way.
What a social butterfly. That was Song Qiuchen's first thought.
Then, under the gaze of the entire class, the social butterfly casually took the seat beside him.
He's pretty handsome, too.
That was Song Qiuchen's second thought after getting a closer look.
When he remembered the social butterfly's other secret identity, the top student in the province, Song Qiuchen had a third thought.
He doesn't seem like a top student.
The province's top student had a workbook under his hand, but his eyes were fixed on his phone screen.
The class group chat, which had been peaceful for ages, erupted again amid a wave of gossip.
The real kicker was that Song Qiuchen, who barely ever said a word in the group chat, was forced by the pressure to deny that they knew each other.
But somehow, his denial only made things more suspicious.
Song Qiuchen felt like his explanation had been pointless.
They really didn't know each other, and he had no idea why that guy was acting so familiar.
In his speechless silence, Song Qiuchen noticed a new message pop up in the chat.
It was from the province's top student and social butterfly.
Xiao Chu: It's fine. We're deskmates now, so we'll get to know each other.
Song Qiuchen: ?
Actually, it's a sunny, outgoing, sociable top student x a quiet but hardworking introvert. They're also childhood friends reunited after a long separation.
The bottom was often sick as a child and forgot the top after one bout of high fever.
Please note!!
1. As they grow older, the top and bottom change in personality due to their own life experiences. But after everything they go through together, the people who are meant to meet again will reunite. It's a happy ending.
2. There is a side couple, Liang Wei x Lu Jiayu.
A sly, sharp-tongued top who loves rolling his eyes x a lively, scatterbrained, carefree, easily frightened bottom.
