The last surviving member of the Divine Palm clan is a woman, and the youngest Divine Palm in thousands of years.
In the Prison of Wraiths, the Ghost King watches the Divine Palm clan being framed again and again. The new Divine Palm, Shen Liushu, is among those trapped in the Liuyunjian illusion, awaiting execution.
Shen Liushu notices Yun Jun's gaze.
It is not as warm as usual. As her friend, he has come to see her off on her final journey.

Heaven's will is enraged. Shen Liushu makes one last trip to Liuyunjian to see Yun Jun and avenge the annihilation of her clan.
She cuts out her heart to prove her resolve and joins forces with the Ghost King, who once slaughtered the Divine Palm clan.
Outside Yun Jun's palace, Shen Liushu suddenly lowers the sword in her hand.
The Ghost King holds a small soul lantern cupped in both hands. Thinking of the sight of Shen Liushu cutting out her heart, he looks at the Yun Jun palace, which seems strangely familiar. "You're not going to kill him?"
Shen Liushu grits her teeth and leaves her sword stuck outside Yun Jun's palace.
They say that Shen Liushu and the Ghost King parted ways that day, and that she never asked for half her heart back. Heaven's will kept Shen Liushu behind and gave her another chance to choose.
But that day...
Shen Liushu once again risks losing half her heart to break through the Liuyunjian illusion. The Ghost King, Guiyuan, leans beneath a peach tree covered in love wishes, watching a young woman approach with a flower lantern.
He pretends to ask, "Here to make good on your wish?"
"I suppose so."
Guiyuan closes his eyes, deciding to pretend he can't hear anything from now on.
The young woman makes no move, but a flower lantern is pressed into his hands. Shen Liushu now has the youthful innocence she had when they first met. "Guiyuan, I'm here to make good on my wish with you."
