The Lover Actress Insists on Loving Me

Coming soon: The One She Can't Win Over. Add it to your collection in my author column =v= Blurb at the very end.

Blurb:

A chance encounter at a bar led Yin Yunzhu to sleep with a woman she'd never met before.

The youngest Best Actress in the entertainment industry, Jiang Menghe.

On screen, the woman was gentle, poised, and elegant. Looking again at the mottled purple marks on her neck, Yin Yunzhu fell into thought.

This Best Actress had another side to her in private.

Even without pheromones driving them, the two were perfectly compatible. They met often, keeping things restrained yet uninhibited.

Yin Yunzhu had an innocent, pure-looking face, but she could be very persistent when she wanted to be.

Jiang Menghe would murmur her name and stroke the top of her head in praise.

Intimacy made it easy to imagine you were loved. It wasn't until Jiang Menghe casually said she liked her that Yin Yunzhu realized they had crossed the line long ago.

The night the other woman suggested they separate, Yin Yunzhu cried for a long time.

At her friends' urging, she reluctantly went on a blind date. When she got home, she saw the woman she hadn't seen in days standing in the corridor.

She looked haggard, her face a mess.

“Yin Yunzhu, is playing me fun for you?”

Blurb for The One She Can't Win Over:

Also known as The Art of Speed Seduction

[Campus belle × Down-and-out heiress × Employer]

With her mother gravely ill in bed and her father having jumped to his death, Xia Jinxing went from a beloved heiress to owing tens of millions overnight.

Then one day, a woman appeared out of nowhere, disrupting her quiet and hopeless life.

Xia Jinxing knew her: Zhuang Lan, the young head of Huayuan and a tech mogul featured in business magazines.

In the shop, the woman sat across from her, her features half-lit and half-shadowed, her gaze distant and indifferent.

She said she could help Xia Jinxing out of her urgent predicament.

Staring at the astronomical figure on the check, Xia Jinxing spoke, swayed by the promise of money.

“What do you need me to do?”

Zhuang Lan tossed a stack of photos onto the table.

In them, the girl had delicate, innocent features and a gentle air, like an uncarved jade stone.

“I want you to make her fall in love with you within six months.”

Xia Jinxing accepted Zhuang Lan's request.

On her first day after transferring schools, she saw the girl from the photos.

Shi Ruoyun was almost everyone's fantasy of a perfect partner.

She was approachable, capable, and wealthy, the adored center of attention at an elite school.

Even though Xia Jinxing had approached her with ulterior motives, she had to admit she was falling for her.

From then on, she launched a full-scale pursuit.

She took up the violin again, crammed on the books and movies Shi Ruoyun liked, and started showing up at her usual seat in the library to arrange chance encounters.

She also ran laps on the track with Shi Ruoyun, wore the school jacket with her unique scent, and hid with her in a cramped equipment room, fingers entwined.

The plan had its twists and turns, but it was unfolding as expected.

When Shi Ruoyun rejected an arranged marriage for her at a banquet and came out publicly, Xia Jinxing knew: the fish had taken the bait.

She took the huge transfer she'd received and vanished without a trace.

Scene:

Rain began to fall, a few lonely drops drifting in through the car window.

The woman sat in the back seat, a slender cigarette between her lips. Its glowing red tip reflected in her eyes. She turned to look at the two people silently facing off in the distance.

Five years later, they met again.

Shi Ruoyun held a black umbrella. Her eyes were red at the corners, her lashes glistening with moisture that could have been raindrops or tears.

Through the curtain of rain, she stared at the girl across from her in disbelief.

“Jinxing...”

Xia Jinxing's breathing quickened, but she stood rooted to the spot.

Having witnessed her old flame reunite with someone, Zhuang Lan sat silently in the car. It was only when the cigarette burned her fingers that she came back to herself.

This was so boring.

She stubbed out her cigarette and reached out the window. Her voice was hoarse, carrying an unmistakable command.

“Xia Jinxing.”

“Come here.”

Note: Speed seduction, also known as the art of pickup, is a form of manipulation in sexual relationships. Its full name is Pick-up Artist, or PUA for short.

Reading guide:

1. There is no love triangle. The campus belle is the love interest, and the employer is the rejected one. Yes, you read that right! The campus belle's storyline features two strong-willed characters battling over their feelings, while the employer's storyline is about taking someone by force.

2. No crossing the line while underage. One-on-one romance, happy ending.

3. Ordinary setting, old tropes, a full house of melodramatic Mary Sue clichés, love triangles, and groveling to win someone back.

4. The characters' values don't represent the author's. The author takes a wicked stepmother approach. Everyone is awful, and there are plenty of twists. Read with caution if you're sensitive!

5. I'll do my best to research the psychology-related material in the story.

Theme: Love is like tending a garden
