After enduring all the scheming and infighting among the nobility, Yuan Yuzai chose to come to Konoha to cultivate his mind and body: growing vegetables, practicing his swordsmanship, and bickering with Kakashi; seeing off old folks with Obito; eating the rice balls Rin made; and, for good measure, studying with Shisui by the Naka River how Water Release could assist Fire Release in making cooking more convenient. His life seemed to be gradually getting back on track.
But no one told him that in a ninja village made up mostly of shinobi, the scheming and infighting could be no less intense than among the nobility!

He would take revenge on the daimyo, seize power, and carry out reforms from the top down. For this goal, he would pay any price, even if it meant his soul.
As people grow older, their desires keep multiplying.
"My wish? I have only one wish: peace. Whether it's the Land of Fire or Konoha, I will do everything in my power to protect it."
