Abandoned local male lead × adopted female general as the love interest
Scheming, sensitive younger top × steady, mature older bottom
Among the ruins of a shattered world, Albert discovered a small child while his mental sea was on the verge of losing control.
His subordinate picked up the helpless little one.
Albert simply said, "Bring him back to the general's residence."
From then on, Samuel became the exception in the general's household.
Albert raised the sensitive little bug into a cheerful, outgoing young man, but at some point, his heart began to want more and more.
At last, one day, the tension boiled over.
"Samuel, I'm getting engaged."
Samuel had only been an adult for a year, while Albert had long since reached the age for mandatory pairing.
Albert knew this was his only chance.
Even someone as composed as him could lie with a straight face out of selfishness, though inside, he was already in turmoil.
He only wanted to take a gamble, betting on that faint possibility.
What if?
But Samuel had already planned everything, just waiting for Albert to make his move.
Little Scene 1: Childhood
Albert had just returned from the battlefield when he stepped through the door and was immediately enveloped by Samuel, the little one leaping into his arms.
"Big brother, this flower is so pretty. It's for you."
Samuel's soft little hand offered Albert a freshly picked space rose, and his gentle voice reached the deepest part of the female bug's heart.
The rose was dazzling in color, not at all suited to Albert's attire.
Yet the female bug accepted it and carefully tucked it into the breast pocket over his chest.
Little Scene 2: Adulthood
After suppressing it for a long time, Albert's rut finally erupted. To keep from hurting Samuel, he locked himself away.
But Samuel somehow got hold of an access pass and forced open the isolation room.
The female bug's eyes were moist. Usually so composed, he turned his head to hide his disheveled appearance, only to be pulled into Samuel's arms the very next moment.
"Big brother, I found you."
Like rain after a long drought.
