Jiang He was struck by lightning and died.
The good news: he was resurrected. The bad news: he died after being caught up in a disturbance in the space-time continuum, and to return to Earth, he has to bind himself to a System, travel to another world, find the power of space-time, and repair the space-time passage.
To his utter surprise, the missing power of space-time is also the System's core energy source. Jiang He has to complete instance missions focused on developing the desert to charge the System, all while searching for clues to the power of space-time.
From the start, Jiang He is stranded on a deserted island, where he also picks up a Demon Lord who is willful, greedy, and vain.
And so Jiang He begins a life of feeding the Wasteland Lord while managing the desert.
The climate in the wasteland is harsh, so he figures out how to make magical shields to regulate it. The desert soil is barren, so he uses a spirit spring to improve it. The wasteland's oases are shrinking, so he rallies people to build windbreaks and sand barriers, while working to cultivate greenery and plant forests.
Under Jiang He's management, the southern wasteland gradually turns lush and green.
It's time to develop the wasteland's economy. He'll have to discuss it with the little lord and colleague he's been feeding all this time.
But before Jiang He can bring it up, the little lord confesses to him, pushes him down, and devours him whole.
Edmund Morris lost his parents when he was still a young cub. As a pureblood demon of the Morris family, he must avenge them and reclaim their lost lands.
But when bad luck strikes, even drinking water can make you choke. Not only was the Morris family's ancestral curse activated in him, he also became the slave of a human named Jiang He! What a disgrace!
Jiang He is rather handsome, a good cook, and gentle with me. If I forgive him so easily, won't I just spoil him?
Extra 1:
One day, Jiang He and Edmund were in the castle making a sand table model of the city-state they planned to build.
Edmund: "Jiang He, I feel a little strange."
Jiang He: "Huh?"
Edmund: "I've reached adulthood."
Jiang He: "Oh, congratulations. What do you want for an adulthood present?"
Edmund: "I want you."
Jiang He: "No, you don't."
Edmund wrapped his arms around Jiang He's waist from behind. "But I feel so uncomfortable. Help me out."
Jiang He: What on earth?
Extra 2:
Passerby A: "Have you heard? The Demon King and the City Lord have been fighting lately!"
Passerby B: "I heard the Demon King injured the City Lord."
Passerby A: "What a tragedy!"
Ahua, the doctor friend of the Demon King and the City Lord: Heh. (The weary smile of the only person who knows the truth.)
Reader's Guide
Jiang He is the bottom, and Edmund Morris is the top.
The bottom seems like a gentle, healing homemaker, but is actually a brave, resilient, and shrewd workaholic.
The top seems like an overbearing, arrogant Demon King, but is actually a sensitive, clingy, and lovesick innocent.
Desert development and management are the main plot, with side stories about finding the power of space-time and lifting the top's curse. A lighthearted, heartwarming story.
All the settings in the otherworld are made up by the author. There are mountains of original worldbuilding, so please don't take it too seriously.
Ongoing novel next door: The Android Husband Is a Fake (almost finished!)
Also known as: About How the Husband I Spent a Fortune Custom-Making Turned Out to Be... This
Ye Yin spent a fortune custom-ordering an android. His android lover, Lu Zhen, is tall and handsome, has a great physique, and always does whatever he asks. Ye Yin loves him and, if he could, would spend his whole life with Lu Zhen. But Lu Zhen doesn't feel the same way.
Because Lu Zhen isn't an android at all, but a real human being. He came to Ye Yin as a temporary measure. Ye Yin, the foolishly naive snack-shop owner, is nothing more than a cover for his identity. No matter how handsome Ye Yin is, how good a cook he is, or how kind he is to Lu Zhen, Lu Zhen's heart will never waver! His only concern is the mission!
To better conceal his true identity, Lu Zhen decides to do a good job playing Ye Yin's android lover. As long as Ye Yin doesn't try to do xoxo stuff with him, everything will be fine.
He makes breakfast for Ye Yin, does the housework, and feeds the chickens... In short, he puts in twelve times the effort to make sure he acts like an android designed for romance.
But whenever the little boss gazes at him obediently with those clear, limpid eyes, Lu Zhen's heart starts to stir: I want to tease him so badly...
He thinks he's been holding back, but Ye Yin still gets mad at him. So he has no choice but to pull out every trick to coax him. That's right, it's all for the mission!
Lu Zhen: "Are you feeling a little better now, Master?"
Ye Yin: "Half better."
Lu Zhen: Even after all that, he's only half better! Does he want me to give myself to him completely before he'll be satisfied?
W-Well, it's not like I couldn't.
Lu Zhen, who insists he isn't interested, falls for him.
The longer they spend together, the more Ye Yin realizes his android lover is acting like a real lover. But just when Ye Yin is head over heels for Lu Zhen and needs his comfort and company most, life hits him with a cruel blow.
He looks at a certain part of Lu Zhen that's sticking up and begins to question everything, because federal regulations state that an android's thing isn't allowed to stand at attention!
Ye Yin had planned to just let it slide, but Lu Zhen still leaves him. Were all those sweet nothings just lies?
Ye Yin's heart is shattered. Fortunately, he finds the older brother he lost years ago, and with his family by his side, he gradually recovers from the heartbreak.
However, when the once aloof spy Lu Zhen completes his mission and goes back to find his beloved, he discovers Ye Yin living with another man!
(Jealousy) (Heartbreak) (Burning with rage) (Secretly stalking him) (Twisted) (Jealousy) (Red-eyed, grabbing him by the waist)
Lu Zhen: "You said you'd wait for me! Who is that other man?!"
Message: Protect the environment and make sure deserts are no longer barren.
Oops, I will eventually meet the devil and become his beloved wife.
Based on my many years of experience in reading novels, this must be some kind of contract.
I found that four consecutive paragraphs started with the protagonist's name, and there was no pronoun like "he" in the middle. It felt like the statement was a bit fragmented. Maybe the author was thinking about it piece by piece when writing (it's not harmful, maybe I'm not used to it after reading the article for a long time, it's very similar to how I tried to write an article before and then choked it out piece by piece and then changed the person's name [Caidog])
Come on author, looking forward to the update
The writing is pretty good. Looking forward to big updates.
Ah, these dungeon names, did you "accidentally" go to other locations because you chose the last one? 🐶
", What is surprising is that it actually "caught a lot of trouble for the author~ accident
Why do I feel like I can't connect the chapters?
The clothes are very valuable, so you are miserable?
No? Why? Just peel shrimps for strangers?? Now the protagonist doesn't have to please him? The protagonist asked him why he had to peel the shrimp for him when he said he was disgusted and said he wouldn't eat it 💔
