Tend the Flame

When An Sui was in his second year of high school, a transfer student named Bai Yu'an arrived.

Friend: You two are made for each other.

An Sui: No way. I don't feel anything. Don't ship us.

Friend: Do you believe him, or do you believe I'm Qin Shi Huang?

Then Bai Yu'an secretly passed him answers whenever he couldn't solve a problem. When he was bullied, Bai Yu'an was the first to step in. During his heat, Bai Yu'an brought him suppressants. When An Sui said his hands were cold, Bai Yu'an never let go of them again.

An Sui: Help, bro, he's so good at this. I think I might like him.

Friend: I told you I'm Qin Shi Huang.

A post titled "BaiAn Is Real" quietly appeared on the forum.

I'm Bai Yu'an's Fan: What kind of bizarre ship is this? How could Bai Yu'an possibly like An Sui?

OP: Do you know what BaiAn abbreviates to? BA. You know what that means? BaiAn is your dad!

I'm Bai Yu'an's Fan: Only you brainless shippers would buy into this.

A newly converted shipper, Sweet Little Candy, replied with a cute pink avatar:

If you don't like it, then leave.

Friend: Bro, can I borrow your phone?

An Sui: It's in the drawer. Help yourself.

After unlocking the screen, his friend saw a familiar post, a familiar avatar, and a familiar username. He was stunned.

Friend: Sweet Little Candy... that's you?!

Friend: You ship yourself with him?!!

An Sui: .

Help, could jumping from the fourth floor kill me?

Bai Yu'an was like a wildfire blowing into his heart. An Sui watched the flames grow fiercer and fiercer, until they were out of control, but he forgot that wildfires could consume people too.

He thought he was the one holding the fire, but he never expected it to leap into his arms of its own accord, warm him, then disappear without a trace.

"Sui Sui, Sui Sui, may you be safe and sound every year."

"Sui Sui, don't leave me."
