Hearing that the Celestial Realm was sending a Supreme Immortal to reform him, the Demon Lord Chong Ming gave his "warm" welcome. At their first meeting, he bared his fangs and looked vicious.
But the beautiful immortal pulled a bone from his sleeve and patted Chong Ming's head with a smile. "Good boy. Chew on this."
Chong Ming: "..."
Learning that this man was no ordinary person, Chong Ming ordered a succubus to tempt him into breaking the heavenly laws.
When a beautiful woman flirted with him, the immortal showed no hesitation. He pressed her onto the bed, but only to cover her with a thin blanket. Then he sat meditating nearby. "Good girl. Go to sleep."
When abandoned in a burial mound piled high with bones, he conjured incense from dead branches and burned it for every lonely ghost, then curled up to doze beside a gravestone. "Good one. Go be reborn."
Later, rumors spread throughout the Demon Realm:
The immortal from the Celestial Realm was a paragon of virtue, a man of the highest principles who remained unmoved by seduction and unflustered by danger.
Later still, war broke out among the three realms.
Chong Ming accidentally entered the immortal's illusion and happened to see a white silhouette hacking wildly at its own image, apparently terrified out of its wits. "Aah!!! Stay away from me!"
When the illusion faded, the immortal appeared in his true form, only to see Chong Ming standing there, staring at him in a daze...
After a moment, his lashes fluttered. "You... can you pretend you didn't see that?"
Chong Ming curled his lips, tugging at the thorny whip in his hand. "Oh? Are you scared?"
The immortal stepped back with his sword in hand, remembering the Demon Lord's true form, complete with its fearsome blue face and fangs. He was left in a daze, alone in the wind.
