Saving Myself Starts with Fending Off My Master's Suitors

The full novel costs just 3.5 yuan. Thank you, dear readers, for supporting the official release. My new story, Straight Guy Fakes His Death, and His Disciple Turns into a Male Ghost, is now open. The blurb is at the bottom. [Play-the-pig-to-eat-the-tiger, straightforward, crybaby dragon top x seemingly aloof but genuinely sincere, socially awkward master Nonhuman protagonist, top, 1v1, happy ending, very sweet romance. Told in third person.] I am the Heavens. I've noticed something extremely strange: people in love often destroy the world and drag all living beings down with them. I'm still young. I don't want to die! Before I take over, I need to eliminate any potential lovesick threats that might destroy the Heavens! My gaze wandered here and there before settling on a special man. Bian Yi, Immortal Venerable of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect. He has a face like rosy clouds, excels at swordsmanship, and is quiet and reserved. His eyes have carried a hint of frost for years, and his thin lips are always pressed tightly together. Yet despite being so cold, he's incredibly popular throughout the Three Realms. People openly express their affection, make discreet advances, or hint at their feelings in roundabout ways... I nodded to myself. There couldn't be anyone in the cultivation world more likely to destroy the world over love than this man. A strange phenomenon appeared over the Ten Thousand Swords Sect, and a huge rock crashed down at the entrance. Disciples from all the sects came to investigate, only to see a boy crawling out from the rubble. The various sect disciples: ...That's it? A rock falling from the sky wasn't unusual, but there was something else that everyone couldn't help noticing: Bian Yi had taken a disciple. It was the kid who'd been hit by the rock that day. But this newly adopted kid was an idiot, clinging to Bian Yi wherever he went. The moment he opened his mouth, he shouted that he was the Heavens, and that he'd come down to keep Bian Yi from being distracted by other men and women, so he could focus on saving the Heavens. Everyone teased that the kid must have been knocked silly by the rock, and that he really thought he was the Heavens. After all, there were two funny things about that claim: One: The brat hadn't even begun cultivating, yet he was already boasting about being the Heavens. Two: Bian Yi was the cultivation world's famously love-proof thousand-year-old tree. He'd never fall in love in this lifetime. To save himself, the Heavens diligently warded off countless admirers for his master, only to discover that the fewer threats there were, the more threats appeared. Not for any other reason. Lately, he seemed to keep having dreams about his master that were... unspeakable? The Heavens, jolting awake yet again: ...Wait. Could I count as one of his admirers, too? Upcoming: Straight Guy Fakes His Death, and His Disciple Turns into a Male Ghost [Laid-back straight-guy master, bottom x loyal disciple who turns into a male ghost, top] Lu Jizhou is a 100% straight guy, through and through. His hobbies are slacking off, doing nothing, and reading novels. Then one day, a recommendation from an online friend led him to a xianxia cultivation novel. Apparently it had been locked on its original website, so he reluctantly found a pirated copy. The plot was smooth, the prose delicate, and the face-slapping satisfying... a masterpiece! Lu Jizhou read day and night, forgetting meals and sleep and staying up all night, completely absorbed. He cried over the male lead's background, was moved by his kindness and sincerity, and got a stomachache from anger at the villainous master who abused him. Then the two masters and disciples who couldn't stand each other kissed. Lu Jizhou: ...Wait. So it was a boys' love novel. A romance between sworn enemies, at that. Lu Jizhou didn't believe it. He posted online to ask, only to be mocked as a straight guy in denial. He stubbornly argued back, but when he opened his eyes again, he'd become the male lead's villainous cannon-fodder master, with a System thrown in for good measure. Facing the young protagonist, Lu Jizhou: This kid is righteous and upright. How could he ever like me? I'll raise him! Facing the teenage male lead, Lu Jizhou: I raised him so well. He's so eager to learn. I'll keep raising him! Facing the male lead's direct confession, Lu Jizhou: ... System: Didn't you say you didn't believe it? Lu Jizhou: Never mind that. Let's run away first! Three years after faking his death, Lu Jizhou keeps feeling like a ghost is haunting him. One night, he opens his eyes and sees that the figure pinning him down isn't some wandering spirit. It's the male lead! Lu Jizhou: ...Hey. Fancy meeting you here. Pei Huan speaks into his ear: It's no coincidence. Master, I've been looking for you.
