Redemption | The Prodigal Returns | Rekindled Love | Stealing Your Brother's Girlfriend | Childhood Friend vs. The One Who Appears Later | Beijing Playboy x Cool, Rebellious Beauty
At a campus mixer, a classmate pointed at Li Zhi in her white dress and teased Zhou Xiaoliang: "Your childhood sweetheart."
A few steps away, Zhou Xiaochen had a cigarette between his teeth, dressed in a black T-shirt and radiating youthful swagger. He glanced over casually.
Zhou Xiaoliang asked Li Zhi if she wanted to leave with him.
She shook her head obediently. "I have something to do."
Half an hour later, the band's performance ended, and countless people in the crowd shouted Zhou Xiaochen's name.
Outside, only two people remained.
It was the rainy season. Mist hung in the damp air, their breaths entwining.
With his bass strapped to his back, Zhou Xiaochen asked lazily, "What are you mad about?"
Li Zhi had her hair tied back, her earlobes flushed and damp. The wind lifted the ends of her hair, brushing the scratch marks on his collar. "You got my dress dirty. You can make it up to me for last night."
Everyone said that apart from the mole beside his Adam's apple, Zhou Xiaochen looked just like Zhou Xiaoliang.
Their personalities were worlds apart: one was a dazzling playboy, the other cool and reserved. But to outsiders, they seemed like brothers who got along perfectly.
So perfectly that Zhou Xiaochen had no qualms about stealing his older brother's girl and helping him win over his childhood sweetheart.
"When absurdity reigns, love must save us."
