Please Don't Take Off the Socially Anxious Girl's Glasses

[Second choice for my next book] The supernatural realm descends, the world changes, and some people awaken supernatural powers. They are known as Ability Users. To ensure fairness in education and improve safety, schools reform their systems, dividing students into Ability User classes and regular classes. Bai Xu is an ordinary student in a regular class, severely nearsighted and extremely socially anxious. His anxiety extends to everyone and everything, human or otherwise. With long hair, black-rimmed glasses worn year-round, and a mask seemingly welded to his face, he is the least noticeable person in his class. When an outstanding Ability User at school is commended for rescuing someone from an anomaly, he is Student A, clapping in the corner. When a heretical organization takes over a department store, he is just a bystander in the crowd, there to buy a book of practical techniques, who gets taken hostage. When the school holds a two-day, one-night forest camp and jagged monsters appear, he is Student C among the fleeing crowd. He was supposed to remain Student C, until a monster's sudden spike knocked off his glasses. They fell to the ground and were trampled to pieces by the fleeing students. "..." The voices around him faded away. Everything in sight became walking mosaics. He turned against the flow of the crowd and walked toward the biggest mosaic. He was equally afraid of people and non-people. But he wasn't afraid of mosaics, and he really loved his glasses. He had also once been to a world filled with mosaics. He had no particular talents, except for his ability to hit every mosaic equally hard. 1. One-on-one romance, happy ending. The glasses-wearing, invincibly socially anxious bottom is invincible and hot-tempered without his glasses x the top, who loves socializing with introverts. 2. Synopsis screenshot dated May 26, 2024.
