Jinse (Reborn)

Recently, the Huo family, the richest family in Jiangling, ran into a bit of trouble.

The elderly Madam Huo felt her days were numbered, so she pressured the Huo couple to bring their granddaughter over from the capital to stay for a while.

This should have been happy news, but the Huo family reacted as if facing a formidable enemy.

Ji Muqu, the second legitimate daughter of the Marquis Xuanding's household, grew up proper and well-behaved until she came of age, then suddenly went a little mad.

Not to mention her daily beatings of servants, defiance of her elders, and extravagant spending, the most shocking thing was that she shamelessly eloped with a poor scholar... If the marquis's wife hadn't protected her, she would have been drowned in a pond long ago.

Wouldn't such a scandalous cousin bring trouble down on the Huo children?

The Huo couple were beside themselves with worry, but their obedient son, Huo Wuyu, was single-minded about officialdom and as steady as an old hand. He remained utterly calm.
