After I Deliberately Provoked the Villainous Regent

The Crown Prince's rebellion has come to light, and the Grand Tutor is doomed to face execution.

To save his young son's life, the Grand Tutor sends Gu Qingjia out of the capital under cover of night.

Who could have expected Gu Qingjia to run into Prince Jin, Xiao Yu, outside the city? Xiao Yu is said to be cruel by nature, a living King of Hell. If he catches Gu Qingjia, surely that will be the end of him.

Gu Qingjia, who transmigrated from another world, has spent eighteen years living as the Grand Tutor's son, cherished by his parents and elder brother. When disaster struck his family, he had been ready to live and die with them. Now that he has run into Xiao Yu, though, he isn't afraid.

But after bumping his head earlier, Gu Qingjia suddenly realizes he is inside a book. The Crown Prince's rebellion is full of suspicious details, and the Grand Tutor's entire family is unjustly put to death.

In an instant, Gu Qingjia decides he can't die just yet.

So Gu Qingjia drops to his knees in front of Xiao Yu with a thump. "My lord, where did you go after that night? I've been looking everywhere for you."

The soldiers around Xiao Yu stare in confusion. What night?

At that, Xiao Yu raises an eyebrow. The darkness hides the look on his face. After a long pause, just as the soldiers think he's about to kill Gu Qingjia with a single stroke, he suddenly pulls him up onto his horse.

Before long, a great upheaval takes place in the palace. The new emperor is still a child, and Xiao Yu naturally becomes regent.

Everyone calls Xiao Yu a treacherous schemer who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Rumor has it that he killed his two nephews to claim the throne.

Gu Qingjia is also scorned and cursed by the masses. They say that to save his own life, he willingly gave himself to Xiao Yu, bringing shame upon his family.

One of Xiao Yu's subordinates is about to kill the people spreading these rumors, but Xiao Yu stops him with the words, "It's no rumor."

What does he mean, it's no rumor?

Did the two of them really sleep together?

Some people swear that within three months, Xiao Yu will grow tired of Gu Qingjia and throw him out of the prince's residence.

Gu Qingjia thinks so too, until one day he wakes from a dream to hear Xiao Yu looking at him coldly and asking, "Besides me, have you ever spent a night of passion with another man?"

Gu Qingjia: "..." What do you mean, besides you? He may have someone he secretly adores, but he hasn't been with either of them!

Core message: Light will ultimately triumph over darkness.
