"Make a pact with me, food blogger!" Mawbert, a two-dimensional being who had finally gained a body, said to Aurora, who was about to board a plane out of Gotham.
Aurora was a food blogger studying in Gotham. She once started a series called "Can I Come to Your House for Dinner Today?"
But after facing all kinds of robberies, rejections, and attempted murders, and surviving by the skin of her teeth, she finally lost heart and decided to leave Gotham.
But while she was still at the airport, just minutes away from missing her flight, she suddenly appeared in a stranger's home.
Before her was the household's delicious baked apple pie.
And a strange black cat appeared beside her, talking about courage and girls and signing her to the Dinner God Contract.
Aurora: ...?
The black cat explained that from then on, she would randomly appear at the dinner tables of superheroes who were about to eat dinner, occasionally including some who were just planning to grab a hot dog from the roadside.
And so she was forced to split a doughnut of unknown origin with Red Hood in front of his grave.
She spent a perfect and delightful weekend at Superman's house.
She took one look at Arkham Asylum's swill cafeteria, quickly posted a thread about whether the food people ate affected crime rates, and compared it with dinner at the Batfamily's home.
And she met countless superheroes, along with a few unfortunate accidents.
Rumors began to spread among the superheroes that the Asian girl who appeared at dinnertime would bring them good luck.
This was a tribute to the heroes, and to the heroism they upheld.
