Yu Qiqi admires someone: the industry's genius director, Mu Chen.
She hears he's sharp-tongued and aloof, proud and cold.
But on set, he seems remarkably patient.
When she is afraid to face the insults in the elevator lobby, he says, "Go ahead. Don't be scared."
When she accidentally gets hurt while filming, he says, "Be careful. It could get infected."
When her unscrupulous former agency comes looking for her, he says, "I'll buy out your contract."
Later, they kiss where no one can see them.

On the day filming wraps, a stunning woman arrives at the banquet.
Someone teases that she is Mu Chen's pampered wife.
"We're not married. I'm his girlfriend now," the woman says with a bewitching smile.
Yu Qiqi loses her appetite.
In the hotel's emergency stairwell, the motion-activated light flickers on and off. The man stands at the top of the stairs, cigarette butts scattered at his feet.
"Yu Qiqi, say you adore me." His voice is hoarse as he pinches out the ember between his fingers.
"You're a director, and I'm an actress. Don't cross the line."
Yu Qiqi pushes open the metal door without noticing that someone briefly catches the hem of her clothes, then lets go.
Dim yellow light spills inside, dividing light from shadow.
Ferocious beasts fear the light, afraid it will reveal their ugliness. Who would have thought a god would willingly embrace the abyss?
A sweet, obscure actress x a sharp-tongued, caustic big-shot director
Unrequited love | Healing | Growth | 12-year age gap | The husband-chasing crematorium trope
1. One true pairing, happy ending.
2. Bittersweet and sweet, with a little sting. The fictional scripts they film will feature in the story.
3. The male lead is sharp-tongued and says one thing while meaning another. He has no romantic feelings for the second female lead.
4. The setting is fictional.
Theme: A bright pearl cannot be hidden by dust
The male protagonist you portrayed is so real. I used to work as a screenwriter in a drama troupe, and the director there was exactly like the male protagonist. He was extremely venomous. He scolded everyone from the screenwriter to the actors to the logistics, including the producer. Many of the words he used to criticize people were very similar to yours, hahaha. But the director's level is really high and he's very thoughtful. I've worked with him on two movies, so I'm very impressed. Already collected, looking forward to further updates, keep up the good work!!
