Ning Nuannuan and Lu Yan were brought together in an arranged marriage.

Ning Nuannuan was beautiful and delicate, sweet-tempered, innocent, and adorable, the very picture of a wealthy flower untouched by the world.

She was every mother-in-law's ideal daughter-in-law.

Lu Yan was handsome and refined, gentle and gentlemanly, with the air of a bamboo grove. He always seemed to live on air and shun worldly pleasures.

He was every mother-in-law's ideal son-in-law.

A bottle of beer in his left hand, three skewers of grilled lamb kidneys in his right.

"I must be drunk. I can't believe I'm seeing my husband, who never touches anything worldly, chowing down on grilled lamb kidneys at a food stall."

Ning Nuannuan's mind went blank. She sent her husband a WeChat message: [Honey, what are you doing? I miss you.]

As soon as she sent it,

a chime sounded behind her.

Ning Nuannuan froze.

Then slowly turned around.

The man behind her was chewing on lamb kidneys while tapping out a reply at lightning speed:

[In a meeting. Be good. Love you.]

Ning Nuannuan: "..."

What the hell!

He lied about being on a business trip so he could secretly gorge himself on lamb kidneys to boost his stamina.

So he has a mistress!

"Can't you really love me?"

1. Shen Lu is only six years older than Dudu. They grew up together.

2. Shen Lu is a childhood friend of Dudu's brother. When Dudu was seven, her brother dumped her in Shen Lu's care.
