The emperor's most beloved young prince, Yuchi, suffered a problem with his reaction time after a serious childhood illness. But when he was feeling well, he could offer astonishing insights, which made his elder brothers wary of him at every turn. His secret, however, was exposed by Yu Hui, the youngest top scholar of his time. The two formed a partnership based on mutual exploitation...
"I can help you become Minister of Justice. In exchange, spend two days at my house. What do you say?" Yuchi smiled at Yu Hui.
"You, Yuchi, are a damn lunatic."
"A lunatic and a madman are a perfect match, aren't they, A Yuan?"
"Can't you tell that I like you? Why would an idiot like me let you use me? Why would I fight for a throne I don't even care about? You're so clever. Can you really not see it?! You like me too, don't you? Do you dare admit it, Yu Jingyuan?!"
