[P5] Cognitive Separation

[Um... why would anyone bookmark this?]

I shouldn't have been here, on Shibuya's Central Street.

Maybe the strong smell of disinfectant in the hospital had stirred up memories I should have buried in the river of time. Maybe it was that familiar face on the television.

So I left the hospital... with the doctor's permission, even though I hadn't made any plans to go out.

The car accident six months ago swept me into a terrible disaster. Falling into a coma and having to take a leave of absence from school were outcomes I couldn't accept.

I gave up on my dream and left Guangxing, as my guardian had arranged, transferring to Shujin Middle School. I didn't know how my only friend was doing. In any case, I could barely look after myself now.

"So you mean... you've seen me before?"

The black-haired boy in front of me asked curiously. I didn't hide anything. In my fragmented, hazy memories, I had watched everything that happened to him.

It was less like meeting him and more like watching his life from a third-person perspective.

And it wasn't a game or anything... I really did have those memories.
