After Forcing a Marriage with the Haughty Young Heir

Radiant, noble princess x foul-tempered, spoiled heir

Everyone knew that Ning Yihuai, heir to the Duanyang title, was a spoiled wastrel, always eating, drinking, and causing trouble. Everyone worried he would ruin the reputations of the capital's noble young ladies.

Princess Rong Shu, on the other hand, was radiant and dignified, the very model of a noblewoman.

When they heard that the heir to Duanyang had been chosen as the princess's consort, everyone in the capital was overcome with gratitude: the princess was truly kindhearted.

On their wedding night, Ning Yihuai demanded, “Rong Shu, what exactly do you like about me? I'll change it, all right?”

“The heir has a handsome face.”

Ning Yihuai was both embarrassed and annoyed, tossing and turning in bed all night.

Rong Shu drank tea, and Ning Yihuai grilled the koi she had raised.

Rong Shu tried on clothes, and Ning Yihuai burned down the treasury.

Ning Yihuai was just waiting for Rong Shu to get angry and divorce him. But as he waited, rumors spread throughout the capital that the princess was hopelessly in love with him, that she would have him even if it cost her status, and that she wouldn't give up on him no matter how much of a nuisance he made of himself.

He raised an eyebrow. Did she really like him that much?

Princess Rong Shu had lived a peaceful and smooth life until then. The only thing she'd ever done out of character was take Ning Yihuai, heir to the Duanyang title, by force. After that, she successfully turned her life into a chaotic mess.

When she proposed a divorce, Rong Shu was thrilled at the thought of returning to her peaceful life. She never expected to catch sight of the heir's reddening eyes.

Rong Shu grew interested and lifted the spoiled heir's chin. “If you admit you're the princess's dog, perhaps I'll take back this divorce agreement.”

That night, someone heard barking from the princess's chambers.
