Track and Field Song is an ensemble sports anime. Its striking visuals and passionate story attracted countless anime and sports fans from the very beginning of its run.

As the anime's story unfolded, a new character with an overwhelming presence appeared: Chu Xiu.

He was arrogant and merciless, never hiding his ambition to win, and he even beat the protagonist's team into the ground.

When this character first appeared, all the viewers hated him and hoped he would be written out as soon as possible. He was voted the most hated character by a landslide in every weekly poll.

Yet this was also the person who helped the protagonist's team slowly regain their confidence whenever they felt discouraged, becoming their spiritual leader. When the national track and field team faced a crisis, he shouldered every responsibility and brought home trophy after trophy.

Those who had once disliked Chu Xiu all ended up in tears after watching the anime.

[What Big Bad? He's clearly the gentlest athlete of all.]

[I hereby declare him my new husband!]

Much later, when Chu Xiu finally won the championship as he had always wished: What? I'm a hot guy now?
