Why Are They All Looking at Teng Heya Like That?

(Full manuscript completed and ready to go!)

Rong Yuyu, the Free Federation's most promising politician, made a work trip to Huajiang Island. When he came back, there was an extra passenger in his car.

A bastard son of the Teng family of Huajiang Island, named Teng Heya, had been given to Rong Yuyu as a gift by his family.

Before Rong Yuyu could even bring him back to Liberty City, his eldest brother stopped him at the airport.

Rong Yuyu's eldest brother was notorious in Liberty City for being ruthless. Everyone thought Teng Heya would be thrown out of the house.

But to everyone's utter astonishment, Teng Heya somehow managed to stay with the Rong family!

It wasn't until later, when the Rong family's second son died in an accident, that Teng Heya appeared at the funeral, almost like a half-widow.

Dressed in black and veiled in sheer black fabric, he was dazzlingly pale and immaculate, even more pure and aloof than the little white flower pinned to his chest.

He was like a flower that had never seen sunlight, its stems and leaves delicate and beautiful, almost translucent.

So beautiful he hardly seemed real.

Everyone who came to pay their respects was a top-tier alpha from high society.

The Rong family's political enemies stared at his face in shock, unable to look away for a long time.

The Rong family's colleagues bowed and kissed the back of his hand, their voices low and husky. “Please accept my condolences.”

The Rong family's friends embraced him and gently stroked his slender shoulders. “If you ever need anything... please don't hesitate to come to me.”

And the Rong family's eldest, Rong Boting, the most infamous big shot in Liberty City, stood by his side without taking a step away. His gaze swept over the others' faces, dark and menacing, with undisguised possessiveness.

No one understood better than Rong Boting why they all looked at Teng Heya that way.

Because alphas are masters at projecting their own feelings onto others.

[Near-future setting, 1v1. The top is the eldest brother, Rong Boting. Delicate white flower vs. ferocious beast.]

[Before you ever looked at me, I'd already stolen countless glances at you.]
