Please follow my column for Rain in My Heart, an upcoming story about a tough chauffeur's daughter and her obsessive employer's son, with a foster-family setup, a second-chance romance, and a groveling hero.
The title of this novel comes from the idiom "Finding a boat at a desperate crossing."
[A drifting boat will eventually find the dock meant for it.]
High school setting / Hostility at first, then falling hard / One-and-a-half-year age gap
Slow-to-warm, sweet, and quietly funny x Cold-faced, carefree, and very tsundere
1.
The summer after her freshman year of high school, Fu Zhou's parents, who had argued for years, finally divorced. After everyone else refused to take her in, she was sent to live with her aunt in the distant city of Beining.
On her first day, her aunt's husband greeted her warmly, then called to the boy coming down the stairs. "Luo Du, come say hello to your little sister."
The boy raised an eyebrow, his expression cold and disdainful. "I don't have a sister."
2.
Living under someone else's roof, Fu Zhou carefully read people's moods and tried to get closer to the boy who shared the house with her. All she got in return was his unrelenting rejection.
"Who said you could use the upstairs bathroom?"
"You'd be better off using that time to suck up to someone else."
"Don't disrupt my life. Stay away from me."
3.
One weekend, much later, their relationship had begun to thaw.
For some reason, Fu Zhou was avoiding Luo Du. She quietly stepped out of her room, only to run into him waiting by the door of the room next door.
He leaned lazily against the wall, looking straight at her, his expression carefree and unrestrained. Yet there was a hint of hurt in his voice. "Why are you avoiding me?"
Fu Zhou felt guilty, but stubbornly replied, "You told me to stay away from you."
To her surprise, Luo Du was even more stubborn, instantly denying it. "I never said that."
Notes:
1. The heroine is the absolute center of this story. Both the friendships and romance revolve around her as she grows.
2. The heroine is not related by blood to either her aunt or the hero. The hero is her aunt's stepson.
3. The hero is awful to her at first; the story will explain why.
Premise: In the endless night sky, someone will always notice your light.
The male protagonist sets I love you so much and I feel sorry for my sister 😭 😭 😭
When will it end? I want to fast forward to when they are together 😭
When will high school end? I really want to watch sweet love^_^
Can't get enough of it, love it so much.
This famous scene reminded me of the last time I took a train. When I went to the toilet, it showed that no one was there. Then when I opened the door, a man was standing inside preparing to flush the toilet. His door was not locked at the time. When I saw it, I quickly apologized and ran away. How embarrassing?
Very pretty, but I quite like Ji Yifeng
But these parents are quite happy that their sons are gone. They deserve to be childless.
This chapter really gave me a heart attack. If my dad slapped me (after marrying someone else), I would really not be able to help but slap him back and slap the girl again before leaving. Because he failed to fulfill his responsibility as a father and protected outsiders indiscriminately to hit him (of course, in his heart, the girl belonged to him, and Fu Zhoucheng sent her away like a nanny).
Fu Zhou is neither humble nor arrogant when it comes to conflicts with his classmates. He is strong-willed and insists on reason, but her parents are like this. She can still endure it, and can continue to be obedient and go back to take care of this and that. She is also cold-eyed and scolded and can't talk. I don't know how to say it. It's so frustrating. Although I know it's for the living expenses, her docile character in the family at the beginning caused her family to become more aggressive.
These two anonymous birthday wishes are guessed to be Fang Shao and Ji Yifeng
