Stepsister [The 1980s]

[The first chapter is being thoroughly revised. Feel free to reread it as a new story. Note from February 13.]

"You're the big sister. You have to give way to your younger siblings."

"Every family has to have a child who makes sacrifices. You're the big sister, so who else would it be?"

In this era, it seemed perfectly natural for a big sister to sacrifice herself for her family. But Li Juan, who had transmigrated here, had no intention of indulging this supposed "natural order."

Why should the big sister have to make sacrifices? Besides, those younger siblings were the children of her stepfather, the man her own mother married after remarrying.

Everyone has their own share of joys and sorrows. Let them suffer as much as they have to.

She's always been a serene, unassuming person who doesn't compete for anything, so she certainly won't fight anyone for the chance to suffer.

After living two lifetimes, she finally understood the principle of life: make others suffer, not yourself.

A simple story about an easygoing slacker.

Please add my upcoming story, The Song Sisters of the 1990s!

[Blurb]

Everyone knows that the old Song family in the northern neighborhood has lots of daughters.

The eldest is fresh and refined, the second is as beautiful as a flower, and the third is sweet and charming.

Old Song doesn't mind people making fun of him for having no sons. As far as he's concerned, having daughters is much better than having sons.

But when his daughters grow up and face the pack of wolves eyeing them from outside, Old Song finally understands what it means to feel as if someone's cutting out his heart. He begins a battle of wits with the pigs trying to steal his cabbages.

*A warm family story, mainly about the Song family, with the neighborhood as a secondary setting.

Theme: Make your life the way you want it to be
