Her ordinary school had turned into a perilous otherworld, and she was the hero destined to save it. Before the countdown ended, she had to defeat the monsters that appeared.
Even though her dreams continued seamlessly from one day to the next, Sanka Rina didn't take them seriously. She treated them as some kind of newfangled game.
That was, until she met the first boss she couldn't beat.
The moment her health bar hit zero, she jolted awake. Sanka Rina found herself back two months earlier, on the day after she'd defeated the previous boss.
The experience was so shocking that she spent the next two months testing the waters.
Defeated by a monster, she returned to that same point two months earlier.
After repeating the game for what felt like an eternity, she finally decided to move things along.
She planned carefully and prepared diligently.
But even so, after defeating three bosses, she hit a wall.
No matter how she prepared or planned, she was always just one last push short.
Just as she was about to go mad from being trapped in the endless loop, Sanka Rina saw a "human" in her dream for the first time.
