A short story~ Hope you enjoy!
Out of curiosity, Ke Li picks up a pink handheld game console from the road. A mechanical voice suddenly rings in her ear: "Congratulations, player. Binding successful. Find your divine partner within three days."
Ke Li scoffs, calling it crazy, then tosses it into a trash can.
But wherever she goes, she can't get rid of the little thing.
In a fit of nameless rage, she asks, "What happens if I don't find one?"
The heartless mechanical voice answers, "You'll waste away and die!"
Ke Li: I don't believe a word you say.
After working diligently for three years, Ke Li has always been the most energetic and motivated employee at her company. Lately, though, she has found herself growing drowsy and listless every day.
She studies the game console on her desk and gives in. "All right, tell me how to find one."
The cold voice replies, "I don't know."
Ke Li spends three fruitless days searching every street and alley. She drags her weak, barely beating body into her bedroom, deciding to lie flat and accept the death that's fallen from the sky.
Then she glances down and sees a man on the floor, soaked through, with an injured wing.

Wen Ao is the strongest among this batch of succubi to pass the trials. In his kind, each person can form a pact with only one partner in their lifetime.
The day he is sent out to find a partner, he runs into a torrential downpour. His powers fail, and a violent gust slaps him against someone's window, sending him tumbling inside.
He looks up and sees a pair of eyes filled with an inscrutable smile.
She seems to have some kind of plan. Excitedly, she asks, "Are you a god? Will you be my partner?"
In the human world, does partner... mean spouse?
Before he can answer, Ke Li hurriedly adds, "I've taken you in and saved you, so you can't be ungrateful."
Wen Ao gives her a smile that says this is exactly what he wanted. "Sure."
Then he'll give himself to her and say yes.

When they draw up their contract, Ke Li lists a whole pile of additional conditions to make sure things are fair to both sides. The incubus has just one request.
"What is it?"
"I get hungry easily, but considering your constitution, could we eat three meals a day, just like you humans?"
A diligent, short-tempered office drone vs. a service-minded incubus with maxed-out skills
