[Melancholy, Scheming, Nontraditional Blunt Elf Top x Madcap, Fun-Loving White-Haired Human Bottom]
The first time the System saw Seral, he was sitting quietly beneath a tree. The stillness of night enveloped him, and in the faint lamplight, his face had a youthful, hazy quality. Warm light fell across his pale skin, while thick, curly black hair like seaweed pooled beside him. Looking weary, he leaned against the dry trunk and idly flipped through some pages.
"Host! Come save the world with me!"
...Seral said nothing and lay down.
"Host? Host! Don't die!"
Here's what happened: while Seral was reading, he ran into a chattering creature. The thing called itself the System and told him that this world had unexpectedly become connected to another world from a terrifying dimension, setting off a process of change. As a result, the world's chosen Child of Destiny had been compromised and could no longer save the world, leaving the world's timeline on the brink of collapse. So the creature sought out Seral and asked him to help the protagonist save the world.
"He died? That's wonderful."
**
At last, an elven youth and an unknown creature set off on the road to save the world (crossed out).
After emerging from the secret passage, sunlight and a breeze fell upon the survivors' eyes. Behind them, civil war raged, while dust swirled through the air and obscured everyone's vision. Through the blur ahead, a young man sat leaning against a low wall. The breeze lifted the edge of his cloak, and silver-white hair spilled out. A long, slender silver-white braid danced in the wind.
"I like you more and more, Seral. I hope you can give me a little lasting amusement."
After a moment of silence, Seral replied, "Thanks, but I'm underage. I don't date."
Reader's Guide:
1. Younger top, younger top, younger top! Elves age differently from humans, but our Seral is an underage elf, while the bottom is an adult.
2. The protagonist has a bit of a straightforward, oblivious streak, and he can be quite biting.
3. Mild Lovecraftian elements! Mainly in the monsters' appearances. Very mild!
4. Nontraditional Western fantasy! Nontraditional Cthulhu mythos! The entire story is set in a fictional world. If anything seems unreasonable, blame my brainlessness!
5. There is a protagonist from the original world! The original protagonist and the System don't get much page time! This story focuses on events behind the scenes!
6. This is the author's first time writing, so please forgive any shortcomings.
Theme: When the world is in danger, everyone is responsible.
