- Blurb subject to change
The day Jiang Huan received her acceptance letter from Number One High School, a tenant moved into her home. He was supposedly the son of her grandaunt's friend, a rebellious boy who had fallen out with his family and run away from home.
Jiang Huan had always been all smiles toward anyone who paid her.
She just couldn't figure out why the boy would often stare at her in silence, a hint of mockery hidden in his cool, sharply defined features.
What a strange guy.
After muttering that to herself, Jiang Huan put him out of her mind. She remained warm and polite, and the two of them got along well enough.
Until one night, when rain poured outside the window, drowning out every other sound.
Inside, books had been torn apart and pages lay scattered across the floor. Jiang Huan clenched her fists, her face red with anger as she glared at the person in front of her.
Shen An restrained her with one hand, leaning lazily against the doorframe.
"Done pretending?" he chuckled. "Did you think I hadn't changed at all after all these years?"
