After the Lord of the Haunted Realm Set His Sights on Me

[Going premium on October 1, with three chapters updated that day. Thanks for your support!]

When you're out and about, safety comes first. Don't go home with strangers, or you'll regret it.

Especially when you don't even know if they're human.

Jiang Ye is a member of a civilian search-and-rescue team. While on a mission in the mountains, he accidentally wanders into a bizarre world teeming with monsters and is attacked by a terrifying giant insect.

At the critical moment, a handsome young man comes to their rescue. He kindly invites Jiang Ye and the others to his home, treats them to a sumptuous dinner, and offers them a safe place to stay.

Jiang Ye has never met a man so gentle, refined, and beautiful. He's certain he's found a kind angel, but what happens next cruelly shatters his illusion.

The one he met isn't an angel, but a cold-blooded demon.

One teammate after another dies horribly, devoured by monsters, while the demon looks on coldly and Jiang Ye is powerless to do anything.

They run, hide, or pray to the demon for help and protection, clinging to a desperate hope, but none of it matters.

At last, Jiang Ye is the only one left. He resolves to fight with everything he has, determined not to be slaughtered like a pig or a sheep!

But the demon doesn't hurt him. Sitting by the bed, he smiles at Jiang Ye like a lover.

"You're lucky, my dear. I fell in love with you at first sight, so now you have two choices."

"Death, or love me."

[Content notes and reasons to read]

Top's traits: A nonhuman beauty with overwhelming strength, outwardly gentle and refined but actually a perverted beast in human clothing. His thought process is a little off (?).

Bottom's traits: A handsome, straight man who's strong, resilient, optimistic, and positive, and an extreme younger-brother enthusiast.

Both are each other's only ones.

Relationship progression: The top falls in love with the bottom at first sight (a second-chance romance?). The bottom feels fear and rejection toward the top, so the early relationship is mostly forced love; they only fall in love with each other later.

The story includes deception, coercion, and scheming. Readers whose tastes align with that may find it quite satisfying, while those who dislike this type of story may find it frustrating. Some readers have also said the retribution arc is too short, so please read according to your preferences. Thanks!

Theme: Facing adversity, never give up.
