People are born from love, but even after they die, their feelings do not vanish. Feelings that cannot be let go of eventually become obsessions, lingering among the living.
Soul Ferrymen exist to dispel these obsessions.
Jiang Han was haunted by ghosts from the moment he was born, so someone gave him a bell. That person said someone would come to claim it when Jiang Han turned twenty-two.
And so, when he turned twenty-two, he met someone.
A legendary figure spoken of by the Soul Ferrymen, named Lin Yuan.
People jokingly call Lin Yuan a living bodhisattva who saves lives, because he keeps appearing at random places to rescue people.
Strangely, everyone he saves refuses to talk about what happened.
Someone: "Lin Yuan, I can't beat it. Help me!"
Lin Yuan: "You're not dead, so I'm not helping."
