Jiang Yun was born premature and suffered from poor health. On the night his parents died in an air disaster, he came down with a high fever that wouldn't break. As he lay dying, he was bound to an unknown entity that called itself a System.

The System claimed to be a villain rescue system. This world was actually a novel, and Jiang Yun was merely a cannon-fodder nephew who died young, related to the great villain Du Mengxi. If he wanted to live a healthy life to the age of one hundred, he had to complete the mission of saving the villain.

Five-year-old Jiang Yun listened, then opened his teary eyes and pouted.

Jiang Yun: Waaaah... I want my mom and dad...

The child's cries were as faint as a newborn kitten's. He gazed timidly up at the System with his little angel face, beautiful eyes shedding silent golden tears.

The System panicked at once. No matter how it threatened or tempted him, it couldn't stop the child from crying.

When the child woke up after crying himself to sleep, he found that he had a new guardian, a man who called himself his uncle.

Outsiders said that Second Master Du of the Azure Dragon Gang was an illegitimate son of the Du family who had been cast out. His face was more bewitching than his mother's, but his heart was more poisonous than a snake's. He had a strange temper and had killed countless people. He'd even smiled while raising a knife against his own father.

His heartlessness inspired both awe and fear. People even whispered that Jiang Yun's parents' deaths were probably connected to him. As one of only two blood relatives left in the Du family, everyone assumed Jiang Yun would have a hard time from then on.

No one expected the man, whose face was like Buddha's but whose heart was like a snake's, to pull the boy into his arms the first time they met, his eyes full of a gentleness and tenderness that could drown anyone.

When the boy couldn't sleep, he softly read picture books to lull him to sleep.

When he was sick, he personally fed him medicine and held him to ease his pain.

When he had no appetite and couldn't eat, he even learned to cook just for him.

He doted on the boy as if he were the apple of his eye. If a single hair fell out, he'd hunt down whoever was responsible. He doted on him even more than a mother would.

Faced with such a gentle uncle, the child turned to the System and complained, looking thoroughly displeased: My uncle isn't a big bad guy!

The System saw how the uncle treated his Host, so differently from how he did in the book, and promptly froze...

The great villain Du, reborn with memories of his past life, glanced coolly at the System. When his gaze returned to the child, it held a trace of possessiveness that was difficult to notice.

Yun'er, be a good boy and stay by Uncle's side. Uncle will wait patiently for you to grow up.

Jiang Yun showed a talent for languages and music from an early age. He was sensitive to all kinds of sounds, learned foreign languages with ease, and could play a whole song convincingly after watching his teacher perform it once.

His uncle asked him what he wanted to do when he grew up.

The little one lowered his eyes, thought for a moment, and immediately said, "I want to be a translator!"

Uncle: "You'll starve if you become a translator."

The little one pouted and raised his little hand again. "Then I'll be a pianist!"

Uncle: "All you can do is copy. You have no feeling. Who are you trying to scare off?"

The little one gave a soft snort and frowned at him. "Then I'll go play in the snow!"

Uncle: "It's cold outside. Don't catch a cold."

Unexpectedly, the little one eventually came home with the world championship trophy for freestyle skiing.

PS:

1. The early story is about raising a child and doting on him as a whole family. The protagonist grows up later, with plenty of romantic rivals.

2. The top and bottom are not related by blood.

3. The top is reborn and has memories of his past life.

4. So much fluff! Everything is in service of sweetness!

5. They are each other's only love. In his past life, the top's thoughts and actions were controlled. He loved the original heroine but could never win her over.

Upcoming novel: Watching from the Shadows

After the college entrance exams, Zhang Shuyi received two big surprises:

One was a paternity test proving he was the biological son of the Jiang Group, switched at birth and raised by another family for eighteen years.

The other was a medical diagnosis declaring him lost forever to a silent, lightless abyss.

It took him two years to get used to the pitch-black, silent world and learn how to live alone.

His world was quiet, so quiet that he couldn't even hear the woman next door calling him a "jinx."

Until one rainy night, he accidentally "witnessed" a murder.

He didn't know the killer was standing behind him, watching him like prey.

He didn't know the killer had followed him home that night.

And he had no idea that the gentle doctor who knocked on his door the next day, claiming to be his new neighbor, was the owner of the bloodstained knife from the night before.

.

Fu Heng thought he was sick.

Not mentally ill, but afflicted with a disease called Zhang Shuyi.

Otherwise, why would the heir to the Fu Conglomerate turn down his birthright and give up his grand mission of judging society, just to spend all day crouched in front of a monitor watching a blind man draw?

Watching him do nothing but stare into space all day?

Watching him endure stomach pain rather than eat?

Watching him nearly drown in the bath and still refuse to call for help?

Fu Heng bit his thumbnail and rolled his eyes.

"Such a disobedient boy."

Then he secretly replaced the blind man's lightbulb, cooked him steaming hot meals, coaxed him to sleep when he was sick, and taught the bad neighbors who bullied him a lesson.

Fu Heng moved into his home without the blind man's knowledge and felt perfectly justified about it.

Then, while the blind man slept after taking sleeping pills, he kissed the corner of his mouth.

"Don't fall for me as the doctor. Fall for me, okay?"
