The Mute Butterfly Flutters Toward Spring

At Heyang No. 1 Middle School, the most famous person in their grade is Xu Dongling. The things people remember most about her are her otherworldly elegance, her cool beauty, and her habitual silence and refusal to fit in.

Qi Suizhi first sees her at a birthday party, squeezed in with his friends. He watches Xu Dongling set down her gift and turn to leave, her slight figure receding, and sees her coldly brush off her friend's attempt to stop her.

From then on, he scoffs at the young lady's haughty attitude and takes an instant dislike to her.

"Butterflies have no vocal cords, and little elephants have no feet. Time flows slowly through them, and so butterflies grow vocal cords, little elephants grow feet, and you and I grow boundless courage."
