Cultivation at Tianchang Sect Is Pretty Laid-Back

Three hundred years ago, the Demon Lord Yun Wuxi willingly allowed herself to be sealed in Beihui, leaving these words behind: Three hundred years from now, she will return.

Three hundred years later, a group of ordinary people from all walks of modern life are pulled into the cultivation world by the "original storyline" for reasons unknown, becoming inner disciples of Tianchang Sect. Zhong Changying, formerly a special forces soldier, becomes the chosen one destined to seal the Demon Lord.

At first, everyone just wants to enjoy the fun of becoming an immortal in the cultivation world. But none of those who transmigrated into the book inherited spiritual roots or cultivation, so they remain ordinary people. However, the cultivation world has bugs, so everyone puts their skills together and comes up with cultivation-world "magic wands," delivery services, phones, and other technology-based cultivation spells.

After the sect leader and the Second Martial Uncle are killed one after another, word spreads that the Demon Lord has appeared, and everyone's spiritual roots return at the same time.

But the Demon Lord never truly appears. It isn't until Zhang San, the former sect leader of Tianchang Sect, comes out of a hundred-year retreat that Zhong Changying learns the truth: the sect's only disciple who didn't transmigrate into the book, the Little Junior Sister, is the real Demon Lord.

Because the Little Junior Sister has yet to turn demonic, the Little Junior Brother is erased by the original storyline. As more and more people are erased, the Little Junior Sister awakens, accepts her fate, and willingly becomes a demon. She fights her Eldest Senior Brother, Zhong Changying, and sets the storyline's cycle in motion.

A few things to note:

1. The story mainly focuses on everyday life in the sect. There are a few big set pieces, but not many.

2. Although there is no female lead, the story leans more toward an ensemble cast. All the main characters have their own stories, especially the Third Senior Sister and the Little Junior Sister.

3. Some supporting characters have couples, but their romance is barely described. The theme is love that comes from nowhere and lasts forever (not really).
