After Courting Disaster, Passion Rekindles

Fake prude X drama queen

-

She thought he had changed.

He was just as gentle, just as willing to give her anything she wanted, but somehow something was missing.

Back then, he would have defied the whole world just to make her smile.

But now...

Well, it didn't seem like there were any dramatic situations that called for defying the whole world anymore.

Still, it was dull, boring, and passionless.

What did people call it in the mortal world? The seven-year itch?

Sigh. Promises of eternal love really were unreliable.

A man's heart was like a rock: either cold and hard, or capable of seventy-two transformations.

He'd pursued her for a hundred years. Could he really stop loving her just like that?

After giving it serious thought for a whole day, she decided to add some excitement to their "stale" relationship.

So she "died" right in front of him.

-

But she soon realized that things weren't unfolding quite as she'd imagined.

"I only faked my death for a bit. No need to take it so seriously, right?" she said with an easy smile.

Then he brought her home without so much as changing his expression.

"You don't love me anymore," she accused him before he could get a word in.

He stared at her, emotions surging in his eyes.

She smiled knowingly. "Oh, are you angry? But this isn't the first time I've faked my death. You..."

Before she could finish, a red cord bound her wrist to the bedpost.

"?"

She was about to say more, but he silenced her with a long-overdue kiss.

Great, the excitement worked. The passion was back.

But...

"Where did you learn all these tricks?!"
