Later, F1 realized that not only F2, F3, and F4 had bowed to her, but the scholarship students practically saw her as a beacon of light.
Even the gentle former president kept turning up in front of Ying Xi, smiling like a warm spring breeze.
Most irritating of all was the smiling tiger of a childhood friend who served as Ying Xi’s butler, constantly going on about “the young lady this” and “the young lady that.”
“Of course, the young lady’s choice of partner has to pass my inspection.”
He gave F1 a cold, insincere once-over.
“If she absolutely must choose someone, she should pick someone obedient, someone willing to be a stepping stone for the young lady’s career.”
