Dressed in rags, Yu Minglang collapses against her, wailing and carrying on:
"People of Nubis, I heard you give smugglers hot water and food, and that we can get a proper education and settle down on Nubis. Is that true?"
Amanda coolly pushes the man away from her chest.
With a turn of her pale wrist, she flips open her badge. "In the name of the governor, you are under arrest."

Yu Minglang is locked up at the refugee screening center.
Intelligence indicates that a spy from Merken is hidden among the victims of the crash.
He is the only survivor of the accident.
But they find no chips on him, and even his cybernetic implants are incomplete.
He seems like an ordinary person.
So ordinary that it feels like a disguise.
Once the investigation is over, the usually iron-fisted and merciless commander unexpectedly gives the order without hesitation: "There's no evidence. Let him go."
Amanda follows orders, but feels that something is wrong.
The moment the transport truck pulls out of the building, the commander presses the detonator in his hand, his face expressionless.
The truck carrying Yu Minglang instantly explodes into pieces, and everyone inside is killed.
Amanda's thoughts falter. The next second, her eyes widen in astonishment.
Through the flickering flames and billowing smoke, a familiar figure emerges.

Yu Minglang hijacks a small airship to escape, and Amanda pursues him in an armed helicopter.
The signal is locked, the target is in sight, and the tracking missile is ready to fire.
But in the blink of an eye, the System fails completely.
The aircraft suddenly loses control, and all of Amanda's cybernetic implants disconnect.
The uncontrollable helicopter plummets toward the ground in a desperate fall.
In the instant before impact, she looks up and sees him sitting in the airship, gazing down at her, his eyes bright as lightning.
His lips tremble as if he is whispering:
"I'm sorry."

Amanda narrowly escapes death, and her anger at the master swindler Yu Minglang grows stronger. She resolves to bring him in.
But later, the woman has changed out of her police uniform and into a lovely red dress, her skin radiating a captivating warmth.
With a slight movement of her slender hand, she presses the cold muzzle of a gun to Yu Minglang's chin and smiles sweetly. "Not bad acting."
The man obediently raises both hands. Amanda glances at the empty holster at his waist, then asks with a pleased smile, "What exactly are you hoping to steal from Nubis?"
Yu Minglang pauses, then replies solemnly, "Your heart, Officer."
