The Cool, Aloof Second Male Lead Lies Flat on the Variety Show with Kids

Blurb: Fu Yanyu was aloof and noble, with prayer beads in hand and a red mole beneath his eye. For twenty-seven years, he had lived by strict rules and self-restraint.

But all that changed when he dreamed he was the third male lead in a book.

In the dream, his family fell on hard times, and a marriage arrangement led to one farcical mess after another. His parents were arguing over which of their sons, the real or the fake younger brother, should go into the muddy waters of the Shen family's marriage arrangement.

Fu Yanyu picked up the documents sent over by the Shen family.

Disabled. Has a child. The child is mute.

“I'll marry him.”

-

The day after the wedding, Fu Yanyu went abroad on business. He thought that once he put a stop to the marriage that was causing his family so much trouble, there would be nothing else to worry about.

Three months later, he returned to find that his husband and son had both disappeared.

Fu Yanyu asked the housekeeper, “Where are they?”

The housekeeper replied, “Mr. Fu, Mr. Shen and young Master Shen are on a family reality show.”

Fu Yanyu: “One is in a wheelchair, and the other can't talk yet. They're going on a reality show?”

-

Fu Yanyu joined the family reality show simply because he felt sorry for the two of them, one big and one small. Their marriage contract was still in effect, and he meant to protect them.

But the family reality show opened his eyes.

The mute child: capable, well-behaved, a genius. The most important part: he could talk.

The frail, disabled young Master Shen: could fight, take a beating, and curse. The most important part: he had secretly gotten out of his wheelchair and taken a few steps.

Fu Yanyu: “Aren't you two supposed to be pitiful little things?”

Fu Yanyu had always thought Shen Yu Jue was heartless. Rumor had it he was aloof and cruel, with vicious methods, and that his broken legs were divine retribution. Fu Yanyu believed their marriage could go no further than a marriage of convenience, with no love involved.

Until he saw the proud wolf lower his head and lean against his leg.

* The child is not the gong's biological child. The illness isn't muteness. The child is a genius.

* The gong is lying low and pretending to be ill.

* Aloof, restrained Buddhist shou × fierce, proud wild-wolf gong

The calm one begins to lose control, and the mad one learns restraint.
