Polar-Day Heartbeat [Contract]

Wen Yanli first met Meng Li at a funeral.

The second time he saw Meng Li was on a stormy night.

She was dragging a huge suitcase up the stairs, rain running down her chin.

It was hard to imagine that such slender arms could have so much strength.

After six months of unemployment, Meng Li suddenly got a high-paying job offer.

A rich man she had met only twice said to her, “Come with me to the polar regions. I'll cover all the expenses, and pay you a million.”

He set down the contract and turned to leave.

Meng Li was stunned.

Thirty seconds later, she picked up the contract anyway.
