Blurb: The First Emperor, who would rule for all eternity, dies before his time, filled with resentment and helplessness. But when he closes his eyes, he wakes again as a twelve-year-old child, and even meets his own eight-year-old self.

He initially means to take the boy's place and be emperor for another lifetime. But he is not the boy's original self, so he can only serve as his aide.

The younger version asks, "Who are you?"

He replies offhandedly, "Someone who will help you unify the realm."

He thought he would be a good teacher, a close friend, a wise ruler, and a loyal minister. Unfortunately, Qin Zheng is far too suspicious. He keeps pushing him away, then drawing him back in. When he can no longer stand it, Qin Zheng tells him, "I have feelings for you."

Ying Zheng: "..."

He takes Qin Zheng for a madman. But their souls are one and the same, so Qin Zheng's feelings are his own feelings, too. After much soul-searching, Ying Zheng finally asks himself: Am I really that narcissistic?

He wanted to climb to the heavens and stand beside the moon. He never expected the moon to split in two, and for him to love himself, top and bottom, regardless of what anyone else said. The former court minister who transmigrated alongside Ying Zheng: Your Majesty, you!!!

The first confession

Ying Zheng flatly refuses: "You must be crazy."

After his identity is revealed, he confesses again. Ying Zheng: "Ridiculous. I'm another version of you."

Qin Zheng: "Isn't that even better?"

Several years later.

Ying Zheng: "Are you sincere?"

Qin Zheng: "Completely."

"When did you fall for me?"

"Since I was little."

"All right," Ying Zheng says softly after a moment's hesitation. "I feel the same."

Qin Zheng raises an eyebrow. "You didn't say that before."

1. About the Qin and Zhao surnames: After returning to Qin, young Zheng claims his birthright and takes the Qin surname. Only in the first dozen or so chapters is he called Zhao Zheng.

2. This is a selfcest story about the First Emperor, with an older top. The pairing is Ying Zheng/Chong Su x Qin Zheng. The version of Zheng who transmigrates is the top, and Chong Su is his alias. The story is mainly told from Zheng's perspective, but may switch to young Zheng's when the plot calls for it.

3. This is an alternate universe, not official history. It's a derivative work based on unofficial history and fantasy, with plenty of author-created details. The author has limited ability, so please don't expect rigorous historical research.

4. The language is somewhat modern, and the writing style varies. This is my take on Zheng, so please don't read if you dislike it.

5. Someone else besides Zheng transmigrates, and their identity is rather unusual. Consider yourself warned; their identity is revealed in Chapter 25.

6. Original characters appear alongside historical figures.
