The Grim Reaper Is Alive Again

🍁 Past and present personalities switched | Happy ending | Adored by everyone vs feared by everyone

[Blurb]

They say that once you rise through the ranks and become a god, life only gets better. So why, after Shen Lu became a god, had his wife disappeared?

The good news: she's now the God of the Underworld, so finding someone shouldn't be too hard.

The bad news: the wife she finds doesn't recognize her.

After waking up, Qiao Min discovers she's become a little ghost. Luckily, the Infernal Court provides food and lodging, and although God of the Underworld Shen Lu is not one to smile, she's quite good to her.

If she gets into trouble, someone cleans up after her. If she investigates a case, someone has her back. If she takes a liking to something... Wait, she can just ask for the God of the Underworld's things?

The more Qiao Min thinks about it, the more she feels this god is awfully easygoing. Then she realizes that the other woman doesn't seem to like being called "Your Excellency" and would rather Qiao Min call her by her name.

But whenever Qiao Min casually asks what happened in the past, Shen Lu falls silent. And if Qiao Min encounters even the slightest danger, Shen Lu gets terribly anxious.

Qiao Min can't figure it out. Wait, what exactly is our relationship? Who was I before?

If Shen Lu has some ulterior motive, Qiao Min really can't think of anything about herself worth scheming for. After mulling it over, all she can do is sigh: All right, the God of the Underworld's heart is as hard to fathom as the depths of the sea

Shen Lu: "..."

Qiao Min: "Why do I get the feeling you're looking for someone? Don't tell me you have an old acquaintance you can't forget, too!"

Shen Lu: "I do."

Qiao Min: "Oh. Where is she?"

Shen Lu: "..."

Qiao Min: "Did she leave you?"

Shen Lu: "Qiao Min."

Qiao Min: "Yes?"

Shen Lu: "Be quiet."

Qiao Min had thought that losing her memories of the past was no big deal. But as one case and event after another unfolds, she gradually realizes that she's forgotten far more than just a name.

Not everything people tell her is necessarily true, and her past is far more complicated than everyone claims.

Shen Lu also wants to know what exactly the two of them are to each other. If possible, she hopes Qiao Min will remember the past. But if she could choose, she would also hope Qiao Min never remembers.

After all, finding a wife is hard enough. Losing the wife you've finally managed to find all over again would be even harder~
