Asahi Mio was a human who had been raised deep in the mountains since childhood. After the last shrine maiden at the mountain-guardian shrine died, Mio inherited the role of attendant to the deity, and the mountain god forbade her from leaving. And so she stayed there for several hundred years. A century passed, but she continued to wander through the mountain forests and secluded valleys, keeping the company of wild animals. Then one day, a corrupted sword stumbled into the area and “stole” her away, making her the new Saniwa of a corrupted citadel. Asahi Mio: All right, this isn't a big problem. I'm serving a deity either way. But... is there something strange about the way these corrupted swords look at me? To fulfill her duties as a Saniwa, and at the Time Government's request, Asahi Mio was given a new identity and told to enroll at a well-known university. That's right, from now on she was a woman of culture! Clutching her acceptance letter, Asahi Mio eagerly headed to the present day... Only to be tricked into enrolling at Tokyo Jujutsu High on her very first day by a shady white-haired teacher. Asahi Mio: Oh no, there goes my college degree! After attending classes in the present day for a few days, Asahi Mio finally realized that “dating several people at once” was pretty immoral. She decided to turn over a new leaf, keep her distance from the sword tsukumogami, and return to a normal master-servant relationship.
