How Does an Extreme Germaphobe Survive in Jujutsu Kaisen?

Kyoka Izumi, aka a literary giant reincarnated in a library, is a super germaphobe who even has to roast chocolate over a fire. By chance, he transmigrates to another world with his prickly junior who has been by his side for years.

This is a world where literature has fallen into decline, and one filled with all kinds of filthy, repulsive curses.

Unable to bear it any longer, Kyoka Izumi spends every day killing cursed spirits and frantically disinfecting everything.

Satoru Gojo: What a fascinating cursed spirit. Come to Jujutsu High!

Kyoka Izumi sprays disinfectant right in his face.

Brain: What kind of alchemical creatures are you? You are obviously one of us!

In a fit of anger, Kyoka Izumi slices it in half.

Shusei Tokuda, who has been handling the cleanup the whole time: .

Then, in Yokohama, they meet Koyo Ozaki, whose ability is Golden Demon. She jokes, "Mr. Izumi, how about joining the Port Mafia?"

Shusei Tokuda: ? Wait, why are you hesitating? Kyoka, calm down...

There's no calming down. No wonder this world has so many curses born from negative emotions. The people who write great works have all gone off to fight!

Reader note:

The protagonist is Bungo and Alchemist's Kyoka Izumi, who is as much of a germaphobe as the real-life author and is obsessed with his mentor.

The pairing is Bungo and Alchemist's Shusei Tokuda, Kyoka's junior (though he is actually older than Kyoka).

Curses are subdued through the creation of outstanding works of art and literature, so the two authors not only write themselves, but also get other people to write.
