Zhao Xi was a lazy, good-for-nothing high school student. On the night he was freed from the pressure of the college entrance exams, he and his best buddy, You Xie, headed straight to an internet cafe for an all-night gaming session.
At 3 a.m., a string of characters appeared on a webpage. Curious, Zhao Xi clicked search, and all kinds of eerie scenes that could not exist in reality appeared on the computer screen.
When Zhao Xi saw his own home, he jolted in shock. Then everything went black.
When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in an unfamiliar place.
Half the people sat dazed on the ground. The man beside Zhao Xi suddenly exploded, turning into a heap of bloody pulp.
A cold, mechanical female voice rang out through the endless darkness.
“Ding! Welcome to the Danger Zone!
“Player 7062, get ready. You will enter an instance in five minutes!”
“Ding! Player 7062 is entering an instance for the first time. Beginner protection activated.”
“Ding! Clear the instance to unlock the space hub. Player 7062, please do your best to complete the main objective and clear the instance.”
Zhao Xi felt something being hung around his neck. He touched it and found a tag. The information on it read:
