My profile has a completed supernatural adventure novel, After Transmigrating Into a Book, I Just Want to Lie Low and Win. Can a lazy, laid-back nobody who only wants to coast online make that dream come true?
Thank you, dear readers, for your support. I hope we can meet again in my new story.
After transmigrating, Wei Yuzhen found herself in an unknown dynasty, as an ordinary farm girl who made a living selling tofu.
The tofu stall on the west side of South Gate Street was the most famous. Its tofu was fresh and tender, but most importantly, the young woman selling it was lovely and graceful.
Because of this, Wei Yuzhen's husband grew more and more resentful. He drank and gambled, had no useful skills, and the more he saw his beautiful, hardworking wife, the more indignant he became.
He regularly beat and humiliated her, and when he was in a bad mood, he even overturned Wei Yuzhen's stall to stop her from doing business.
As someone who had transmigrated from the twenty-first century, Wei Yuzhen naturally wasn't going to put up with his rotten behavior. On the first day, she picked up a stick and fought back. On the second, she cut off his money. On the third, she threw down a divorce agreement.
To secure the divorce, Wei Yuzhen went through hell and ended up penniless. Fortunately, she still knew how to make tofu, so she set up her stall on South Gate Street once again.
The stall sold more than just tofu. It also offered tofu pudding, fried tofu sticks, and glutinous rice cakes with tofu.
Tofu snacks took the whole city by storm, and Wei Yuzhen made a fortune. Then she expanded her business, opening a restaurant that served nothing but tofu banquets.
Want to discover a thousand ways to cook tofu?
Sea cucumber braised with tofu, chicken tossed with tofu, lotus blossom tofu cubes with two flavors
Tofu with shiitake mushrooms and mixed vegetables, sweet-and-sour shredded tofu, West Lake tofu soup.
The newly appointed county magistrate had no other hobby besides good food. Hearing that the tofu banquet was famous far and wide, the first thing he did after taking office was hurry over to try it.
He didn't expect that while his taste buds were being satisfied, his heart would also be stolen by the lovely, gentle proprietress.
Thinking back to the first time he met her, she had smiled sweetly, her hands as smooth and tender as white jade tofu. The tofu seemed to slide straight into his heart, and he could never forget her.
Wei Yuzhen: "I've been married before."
Qi Ming: "So what?"
Blurb for The CEO Becomes a Sickly Little Husband (Matriarchal Society):
Fu Jun was a young group CEO, handsome to perfection and a first-rate executive, who commanded the business world.
He never imagined that an accident would befall his plane during a business trip. He transmigrated into a book, becoming a frail young man from the Su family, an utterly wicked, self-destructive villainous male supporting character whose ending was to be torn apart by five horses.
Fu Jun held his forehead and said, "I might as well have stayed on that plane and been blown up!"
To make matters even more absurd, this was a world ruled by women. They protected the country and provided for their families, while men had to stay home, do the housework, and raise children.
Fu Jun clenched his fists. "Let it all burn! What's the point of living like this?"
How could the mighty CEO of a publicly listed group accept being reduced to a tool for his family, forced to marry for their benefit and bullied by everyone?
Refusing to accept his fate, he tried to persuade everyone that men should be the ones risking their lives on the battlefield.
But in a country where women held power and men were beneath them, this was considered treasonous and a violation of a husband's proper conduct. He was constantly restrained and met with obstacles at every turn, trapped in a miserable situation.
So he realized that if he wanted women to accept him, he would have to prove himself with real ability.
A frail body? No problem. He'd work out and regain his eight-pack abs.
Penniless? No big deal. With his CEO know-how, he could thrive even with nothing more than a drink stall.
Using his professional expertise, he joined forces with the empress to carry out a plan for a commercial empire: reclaiming wasteland, building houses, repairing roads, constructing bridges, and developing entertainment, leisure, and tourism projects, ushering in a glorious age of prosperity...
But later...
Ji Shun: "You're not young anymore. If you don't have children soon, our matriarchal kingdom may have no one to carry on the line."
Fu Jun: "No! I only want to build a great empire. I don't want children."
Ji Shun: "Be good! Once the child is born, the kingdom will be yours, and so will your great empire."
Fu Jun: "..."
PS: A CEO who seems weak and easy to bully but is actually exceptionally capable VS an empress who seems cold and aloof but is actually domineering and doting toward her husband.
Note: The story includes many original worldbuilding elements and has a somewhat slow start. Please don't complain if it's not to your taste. This is a fantasy matriarchal setting where both men and women can bear children, but women have a higher status, and most children are born to lower-status men after medicinal treatment.
Theme: Strive through food to make your way in life.
The ambiguity in this chapter is really well written, and the whole process is smooth.
This ex-husband was so angry that I felt uncomfortable most of the night. This face was so real. It was well written and very involving.
I just saw a new article posted. I want to read it on a monthly basis.
