The Pitfalls of Falling in Love

Shang Qiu is an exhibition curator.

A mysterious patron approaches her to organize banquets, art exhibitions, and all kinds of events nobody cares about. In just a few months, she earns a fortune.

Shang Qiu keeps an eye on things and discovers that the boss behind it all is actually a former classmate she once turned down.

Got it. He wants to find another way to pursue me!

Only later does she realize that there is light in her eyes, but it might just be astigmatism.

Wei Qinghuai has reached thirty, with success and fame to his name.

By chance, he runs into an old classmate. They used to team up for debate competitions, where she was terrible but loved taking part.

For the sake of the team's honor, he had to teach her everything by hand.

Then she shamelessly declared that he liked her, and he couldn't defend himself no matter what he said.

To avoid any misunderstanding, this time he refuses to show up in person, leaving his assistant to handle all the work. Who could have guessed life would turn into a vicious cycle?

Shang Qiu sits shyly across from him and says, "You can stop pretending. I know you've been helping me behind the scenes. I'm touched that you've had a crush on me for all these years, but love really can't be forced."

Wei Qinghuai: ...

Is she addicted to making false accusations?

Wei Qinghuai's assistant spends months going back and forth between his boss and the curator, completely drained.

Why don't you two just stop working together? With all that bad blood between you, why are you acting like client and contractor?

Then the assistant accidentally walks in on them having a late-night office date and leaves the scene.

Fine, fine. So I'm just one part of your little game!

"I Looked Back, So Why Are You Still Here?"

"I'm hungry, and I don't know what to eat. Maybe I'll have a taste of love's bitterness."

A mature couple's push-and-pull romance.
